The Estate!

We have the most wonderful poppies in the garden, that produce enormous red flowers which seem to last just a week or so. Managed to capture them this morning - the heavy rain this evening has probably hit them for six.

Down at the allotment, everything seems to be doing well - bed 1 in the foreground has beetroot, shallots, onions and first early spuds. You can see the shed and fruit cage at the back.

Entrace to Plot number 2

Some tiny apples on one of our two trees

One of our resident frogs in the pond, and a great way to protect carrots from the low flying carrot fly!

Where am I ?

Northumberland coast? Galway Bay? Somewhere off the Cornish coast? Maybe a remote Scottish isle?
No - all wrong

It is in fact good old New Brighton, just 3 miles as the seagull flies from the Pier Head in Liverpool. Quite a revelation, not having been there for many, many years. Hope to return again soon.
